One thing the Cardinals did well with the new stadium is the all-inclusive sections. These seats are right on top of the center field batter's eye, so you can see everything, but you are a long way from home plate.

Guests may bring in items such as: bags, purses and soft-sided coolers not exceeding 10" x 8" x 10"; food, non-alcoholic beverages in factory-sealed plastic bottles no larger than 2 liters; empty cups, mugs or plastic bottles.

Baseball Bucket List agrees with the recommendation for Infield Redbird Club seats, and includes both sections 241 – 246 and sections 254 – 257 for best game views. The best places to catch foul balls are sections 153 – 156 and sections 141 – 146.

Earlier this month, Busch Stadium unveiled its updated food prices for 2019 home games. Your eyes aren't deceiving you. That's $5.25 for Doritos, $6.50 for a soda, $9.25 for your standard 16 ounce beer, $10 for a pretzel.

Fans can now bring in outside cups as long as they are empty. Alcohol, bottles, cans, thermoses, hard-sided coolers, and mugs are not permitted.

The use of all tobacco products and electronic cigarettes/vaporizers is prohibited in Busch Stadium. A designated smoking area is set up at Gate 1 to allow guests access in and out of the stadium if they wish to smoke. The designated smoking area is open from gate opening until the end of the 7th inning.

Busch Stadium Bag Policy

All bags, purses, and soft-sided coolers sized 10" x 8" x 10" and less are allowed. Diaper bags and bags containing medically necessary equipment will be allowed after a search. You can also bring in strollers but make sure you stow it away under your seat where it cannot obstruct other guests.

If you don't have tickets to the game, you can watch the game on the big screens. Busch Stadium will open the gates for the 2024 season at noon. At 2:30, Official Pregame Ceremonies will begin with the Anheuser Busch Clydesdales parade around the warning track.

Also worth noting. The Cardinals say that all concession stands, kiosks, and other retail transactions made at Busch Stadium are cashless. You can pay through debit or credit cards or Cardinals Cash on the MLB mobile app.

Busch Stadium Orientation to the Sun

Busch Stadium is oriented with home plate facing east. This orientation makes the ballpark particularly tricky to evaluate for shade because there is no universal “shade side” like at other stadiums. For day games more shaded seats are on the 1st base side of the park.

While I loved our seats, the Redbird Club part was totally not necessary. You just get access to the restaurant, but you can buy most of the same stuff everywhere. The bacon hotdog was nothing special; a regular one would have been fine.

The St. Louis Cardinals site doesn't include pricing information for many food options, but it does say specialty bottled beer is available for $10.75 and Redbridge gluten-free beer is $8. You can also grab a Stella Cider for $10 or a canned premium/specialty beer for $11.
